The Experiences
While being a full time student, I have had a couple of opportunities to better my experiences and to add to the catalog on my resume.
Level The Playing Field Cohort
This wonderful program is for minorities of all academic backgrounds to come together. Not only do LTPF give opportunities to UNC students but they also give opportunities to NCCU students. Throughout each cohort's time and weeks, I believe we gained a lot of professional and life skills such as, networking, professional development, and skills to help take on mental health.
Patient Transporter
I I currently work at UNC Rex Hospital as a patient transporter. With that being said, I see and do it all. From pushing/pulling patients, switching IV overs, changing oxygen, and taking them where they need to go; weather it's surgery, a CT Scan, discharging, and etc.
Job Shadowing/Volunteer/Certifications
Triangle Orthopedics Associates.
I have had the opportunity of Assisting a doctor during the daily physical therapy needs to the patient. I also got to see injections and drainages go on when it came to assessing a patients.

Shaw University Athletic Training Team
While networking and joining LTPF, I have took some of my skills and net-worked with other colleges to see if I could get some hands-on training and shadowing to get my foot in the door. With that being sad, for some months I have had to pleasure to help and work with Shaw University athletic training.
